Itinerary Highlights on the Everest Base Camp Heli Tour
The tour generally begins between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. Your journey starts in Kathmandu as you board a helicopter at Kathmandu Airport. Your first stop will be Lukla, where the helicopter needs to land for refueling. In the meantime, you can recharge your energy while taking in the incredible views that have already begun to unfold!
From Lukla, you will fly over Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Glacier, offering you a literal bird’s-eye view of the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding mountains.
At Kala Patthar, you may get to land for about 5–10 minutes, allowing you to soak in the panoramic views and capture them on your camera! Due to the lack of proper acclimatization and the risks of keeping a helicopter at such a high altitude for too long, you will quickly hop back in for another scenic ride. The journey continues over Syangboche and then to the Everest View Hotel, where you can enjoy breakfast with stunning panoramic views.
Finally, it’s time for the farewell flight back to Kathmandu, with another quick stop at Lukla.
